JOB OBJECTIVES

Develop and implement best in class strategic sourcing plans, lead strategic contract negotiations and manage key internal and external partnerships to support the APAC Logistics services categories, including transportation, warehousing and customs services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy

  • Develop and adapt to APAC a clear multi year category strategy and execution plan, including all aspects of total value, including innovation, sustainability, resilience, total cost optimization, automation and speed

  • Define APAC total value metrics and tracking methodology for key supplier relationships.

  • Develop and adapt from global, division and local cost models and drive fact based cost forecasts and budget guidance for managed spend

  • Update annual Category/Supplier Segmentation for Freight, Warehousing and eCommerce, and develop supplier engagement models accordingly

  • Negotiate strategic supplier contracts and support and track key global Savings and Growth initiatives

  • Deliver/exceed the annual savings goals

  • Identify and assess category risks, develop/support risk mitigation plans

Relationships and Engagement:

  • Connect regularly with Corporate and other division IP Leaders in logistics

  • Lead the APAC Indirect Procurement Logistics network to enforce category governance and facilitate sharing of Best Practices.

  • Develop and implement strong partnerships with category stakeholders to elevate the procurement role on delivering against business priorities.

  • Engage senior leaders when there is a need to escalate issues and drive internal and external partnering.

  • Manage ethical and professional relationships with vendors.

  • Elevate partnerships with key suppliers to drive innovation, resilience, total value via customer of choice approach.

  • Lead Strategic supplier T2T engagements and drive the SRM program with identified supplier partners

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive innovation, automation and efficiency across managed spend

  • Develop and implement any related process improvement in the category.

  • Contributor to the company’s renewable energy and sustainability initiatives and goals.

  • Drive relevant IP transformational/reimagined and innovation initiatives across the logistics category

  • Keep track of the external market, participate in Industry events, engage in benchmarking exercises, and bring category trends, innovation and growth opportunities to the stakeholders and procurement teams.

Analytics & Insights

  • Ability to define the questions which needs to be answered using data and insights

  • Comfortable with experimenting with new systems and technologies

  • Use a data driven approach for validating hypothesis and develop internal and external insights

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor degree and above in a relevant field

  • 8 years of experience in Logistics and or Procurement Logistics with regional and/or global scope

  • Outstanding negotiation and influence capabilities with internal and external stakeholders

  • Proven records in leading change in suppliers at a regional and/or global level

  • Ability to work cross functionally and cross geography

  • CPG background, Supply Chain experience beyond logistics is preferred
