Job Summary:

This position provides accurate and timely management of accounts payables to ensure that Company's liabilities are properly recorded and paid. Verify compliance of recorded expenses with local tax legislation.

This position has a vital role in controls over proper treatment of Company's liabilities and expenses. Adequate judgment and timely collection of supporting documents highly impacts tax optimization for VAT and Corporate profit tax. AP accountant mainly interacts with outside vendors and all departments within the Company.

Core Responsibilities:

• Record vendor invoices in SAP and monitor AP open items to ensure that outstanding liabilities are paid on a timely basis.

• Review AP supporting documents to verify that all legal requirements are met. On a quarterly basis reconcile outstanding balances with Colgate suppliers in order to resolve any discrepancies on a timely manner

• Review and record in SAP expense reports to ensure that claimed expenses are in compliance with Company’s policies and procedures.

• Prepare journals and supporting documentation for the month end closing to ensure that Corporate reporting requirements are met

• Reconciliations with Intercompanies

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree preferably in Finance, Economics or Management

• Minimum 2 year of experience in Finance&Accounting and/or previous experience in Big4 companies

• Fluent in English and Turkish

• Project Management

• SAP Knowledge
