Position Purpose:

  • Professionally represent the company Colgate Palmolive, marketing and developing the different categories of products with our customers through the establishment of a close relationship based on trust and respect, in order to increase sales profitably, and in accordance to our commercial principles. Improve distribution levels and marketing shares of different products in the market, maintaining a healthy credit portfolio.

  • Ensure the correct execution of the 5 P's in the Point of sale of the assigned territory. (Product, Assorment, Pricing, Placement, Promotion and POP).

Let’s talk about responsibilities:

  • Advise our clients in their businesses in such a way that they generate profits and the company obtains incremental sales through the commercialization of our products.

  • Ensure compliance with the credit policies established by the company.

  • Achieve sales objectives of the assigned territory with respect to the objective of the Canal.

  • Generation of credit notes, rebates, monitoring and maintenance of the current account.

  • Visit, based on effective planning, the different clients that each sales territory has based on the Call Value System program.

  • Ensure the execution of the 5Ps of our categories at the Point of Sale.

  • Monitor the activities of the competition and inform the sales team.

  • Negotiating with the client / Picking up the order (where applicable) based on the customer's inventory levels.

  • Analyze information generated through statistics to make assertive decisions that benefit the company and the client.

  • Proactively understand the needs of our clients and recommend solutions to the different requirements.

  • Adequately use the financial resources, outsourcing of the company in order to increase the volume of sales of the products that the company markets.

  • Follow-up on the delivery of the order

  • Implement promotional plans with customers.

  • Identify opportunities and transfer them to the commercial team to develop strategies that respond to competitive changes in the market.

  • Communicate strategies and negotiations of the client during the periodic meetings with the team of merchants and supervisors

  • Present samples, registration and necessary paperwork to the client about the new products.

  • Ensure that all members of your team are clear about the Roles & Responsibilities of your position; promote teamwork to ensure a motivated team that is results oriented.

  • Work together with Category Management Local to ensure the implementation of the planometry strategies (where applicable)

  • Monitor the performance of each team member through the process of Performance Management and Development and provide timely advice and feedback for the development of their staff and achievement of business objectives.

  • Establish the link between the merchant outsourcing and Colgate Palmolive to follow up on the solution of all the specific problems of the different formats.

  • Monitor and manage the control quota at the client level.

  • Negotiate growth plans for each channel customer. - Ensure the supply of products in the store, both on the shelf and in the extra exhibitions outside the shelf.

  • Lead, develop and ensure the sales administration process.

  • Negotiation of Spaces, in coordination with Shopper Development Manager, to place POP material of our products with customers at the point of sale.

  • Scheduling and planning of offers for each client

  • Local processing of price changes

  • Give visibility to the Registry processes and the issues that are being given

  • Resolution of store shortages, correction of inventories and demand for stores

  • Inactivation Products at the WalMart system level (when applicable)

What you need for this position:

  • Bachelor completed

  • 1 year of experience in Commercial area (Sales Executive or similar)

  • Intermediate english

  • Microsoft Office knowledge

It is an advantage to have:

  • Indirect channel sales experience in consumer goods companies

  • Information Analysis

  • Management of effective negotiations

  • Knowledge in planning activities
