We are looking for an experienced technical Accountant to join our International Accounting team. In this role, you will support financial reporting of the business through reconciling, analyzing, and reporting financial statement information at the Division level. In addition to standard accounting and reporting, you will manage the end-to-end financial processing of our stock-based compensation program. This is a highly collaborative and cross-functional role, requiring partnership with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be proficient in technical accounting and eager to use their knowledge and skills to provide strategic financial guidance to our global business.

Some of what you will do:

  • Manage end-to-end accounting and reporting of Stock-based compensation, including reviewing stock compensation expense, disclosure, dilution and tax reports to ensure accuracy and completeness of reporting, as well as reporting estimates for stock compensation expense & excess tax benefit on a quarterly basis

  • Ensure the accounting and reporting of the Division’s results are in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Colgate Financial Policies (CFP’s).

  • Review, report trends, and conduct analyses from Divisional Financial Statements, including Income Statement (Other Expense/Income, Tax provision, etc.), Balance Sheet (Accounts Receivable, Inventory, CTA, etc.), Cash Flow Statement, and Key Financial Ratios

  • Provide support for a number of financial processes, including Annual Budget/Least Estimates, SOX Control testing for Consolidation, and external audit requests

  • Establish and implement the accounting and reporting for royalties paid between subsidiaries and/or 3rd parties

Required Qualifications ​​​​​​

  • Accounting degree and/or certification (Bachelors or Masters with accounting concentration and/or CPA/CMA) required

  • At least 5-6 years of accounting experience

  • Strong understanding of US GAAP

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • System and data analysis

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of BPC/SAP

  • Effective communication, analytical, and prioritization skills

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range $122,000.00 - $144,000.00 USD

Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.

Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefits plans then in effect, all salaried employees are also eligible for a competitive benefits package which includes:

  • Insurance: Employees (and their eligible dependents) are eligible to participate in Company-sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, Basic Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Disability insurance plans.

  • Retirement Plans: Employees are eligible to enroll in Colgate's 401(k) plan, which provides for company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements

  • Vacation/PTO: Employees receive a minimum of 15 days of vacation/PTO leave annually

  • Paid Holidays: Employees receive a minimum of 13 paid/floating holidays annually

  • Paid Sick Leave: Based on location and consistent with applicable state and local law, employees receive a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave on January 1st of each year

  • Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees may take up to eight weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of unpaid leave (varies for employees with fewer than 12 months of service and is subject to hours worked requirements)
