We are seeking a Creative Communications Specialist to join the Hill’s global Corporate Communications team. In this new role, you will report into the Director of Global Communications and will play a key role in implementing a dynamic and engaging design and content strategy for one of the world’s most respected pet food brands.

The successful candidate will lead design and content projects focusing on project goals, storytelling, customer experience and on-time project delivery. You will collaborate across the division team to ideate and carry out projects to meet communications goals. As a part of the Corporate Communications team for Hill's, you will also have an indirect, but important, connection with the Corporate Communication team of Hill’s parent company, Colgate-Palmolive.

What Will You Do:

  • Uphold and integrate Hill’s and Colgate’s corporate brand strategies, ensuring brand consistency across all design projects (digital, social media, video, and print materials) while fostering innovative design and user experience to meet communication objectives

  • Develop and implement diverse design initiatives, collaborating with the team to deliver compelling campaigns and creative content, including copywriting for various platforms and leading video and photo shoot production

  • Streamline production workflows, establish standards for creative processes, and track performance metrics to enhance productivity and the quality of creative outputs

  • Oversee and direct external agency and consultant work, ensuring resource efficiency and continuous improvement in creative endeavors

  • Maintain an understanding of design and marketing trends, cultural events, and audience needs to infuse fresh, relevant ideas into all design work and ensure effective cross-functional collaboration within Hill’s

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic/Fine Arts or a related field

  • 4+ years of experience in Graphic Arts and/or Digital Design

  • Proven experience in graphic arts with a demonstrated ability to develop and meet overall design objectives

  • Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills

  • Working knowledge of HTML and familiarity with CSS

  • Expertise in design, photography, video editing, as well as marketing practices and current advertising and design trends

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Effective at planning, designing, and executing solutions in various mediums

  • Ability to evaluate stakeholder needs, identify options and implement effective solutions

  • Excellent skills in project management proven by the ability to make timely and effective decisions and handle multiple priorities

  • Highly collaborative and able to work in a team-based environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range $81,200.00 - $114,000.00 USD

Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.

Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefits plans then in effect, all salaried employees are also eligible for a competitive benefits package which includes:

  • Insurance: Employees (and their eligible dependents) are eligible to participate in Company-sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, Basic Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Disability insurance plans.

  • Retirement Plans: Employees are eligible to enroll in Colgate's 401(k) plan, which provides for company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements

  • Vacation/PTO: Employees receive a minimum of 15 days of vacation/PTO leave annually

  • Paid Holidays: Employees receive a minimum of 13 paid/floating holidays annually

  • Paid Sick Leave: Based on location and consistent with applicable state and local law, employees receive a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave on January 1st of each year

  • Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees may take up to eight weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of unpaid leave (varies for employees with fewer than 12 months of service and is subject to hours worked requirements)
