The Hill’s pet parent and veterinary-facing ecosystems are rapidly evolving in our increasingly digital world. As the leading division at Colgate Palmolive for both digital and eCommerce, Hill’s needs to continue to strengthen our digital ecosystems to be available when and how pet parents and veterinary health care teams are looking for us.
The Global Digital Data Steward will support the Global Digital Transformation Team by understanding the intricacies of our data ecosystem and enabling insights and actions across the business. The scope of the role covers both the Pet and Vet-Facing Ecosystems and will work alongside our Data and Insights and Global IT Teams. This role will closely collaborate with product owners to catalog all data being collected and help us stitch the data together to create a unified data model that feeds all our current and future projects.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities % of time
35% Data Classification and Documentation
Assist Global IT and product teams in classifying and identifying data stored by source
Create and maintain data dictionaries illustrating what data is available and connections within our databases
Educate marketing, analytics and data delivery teams on data availability, usage and interpretation and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data is used effectively
Help our teams maintain naming conventions and structures to ensure data is usable
35% Data Quality Management
Assist Global IT Teams map data between sources
Audit data sources to ensure the data mapped correctly
Review connections between data silos and ensure the proper data is making to the desired location
Audit data sources when markets report irregularities
20% Data Governance, Integration and Migration
Educate and promote data governance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulations.
Assist Global IT in the continual development of our data policies, procedures, and standards
10% Data Analysis, Reporting, and Support
Assist in data analysis projects, generating reports and insights to support business decision-making processes
Assist teams in building out our data ecosystem strategy

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
Experience within the consumer packaged goods industry
Minimum of 3 years in data management or data governance
Expected Areas of Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
Experience with Master Data Management platforms, particularly Snowflake or Blueconic
Experience with data processing languages such as SQL, Python, and Scala
Experience with data modeling and database design
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with an obsessive attention to detail
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Experience in Healthcare or Medical Technology Sectors, preferred
Professional certification in Data Governance and/or Data Quality, preferred
Experience with marketing data platforms and tools such as Salesforce or other advanced CRMs and CDPs
Knowledge of digital strategies and trends
Data interpretation and analysis
Strong stakeholder management
Effective communication, translating technical, detailed analysis into digestible actions
Ability to work in cross-functional teams and manage simultaneous projects and needs
Self-starter and results oriented
Thrives on problem-solving and overcoming challenges
Naturally curious and actively takes ownership for solving problems
Experience delivering training across teams
Ability to manage ambiguity and thrive
Strong Analytical Acumen and Project Management skills

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $60,000.00 - $82,000.00 USD
Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.
Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefits plans then in effect, all salaried employees are also eligible for a competitive benefits package which includes:
Insurance: Employees (and their eligible dependents) are eligible to participate in Company-sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, Basic Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Disability insurance plans.
Retirement Plans: Employees are eligible to enroll in Colgate's 401(k) plan, which provides for company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements
Vacation/PTO: Employees receive a minimum of 15 days of vacation/PTO leave annually
Paid Holidays: Employees receive a minimum of 13 paid/floating holidays annually
Paid Sick Leave: Based on location and consistent with applicable state and local law, employees receive a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave on January 1st of each year
Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees may take up to eight weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of unpaid leave (varies for employees with fewer than 12 months of service and is subject to hours worked requirements)
