Global Information Technology’s Global Application and America’s Marketing group invite applicants for the System Architect within our group. This role will support our marketing technology platform. The focus for this position will be on supporting Linux, Amazon Web Services (AWS), VPC, EC2, LightSail, API Gateway, and Open VPN for Cloud based hosted environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • AWS Infrastructure setup Web Server, App Server and PDS Server

  • EC2 instances, RDS instance - MySQL, VPC, S3, IAM, Route53

  • S3 API implementation for accessing S3 bucket data files

  • Hands on experience in a Linux environment with Apache Tomcat on Amazon AWS

  • Tomcat 7 and Apache 2.4 setup on EC2 instances

  • Worked closely with a team to integrate designs, components, and ideas together

  • Hands on experience with SSO technologies/standards

  • Installing certificates on Linux boxes Application server and CA certs on Apache 2.4 web servers

  • Support application development in Ruby on Rails

  • Coordinate and tune DNS configurations

  • Document knowledge and share standard processes

  • Proactively gain a level of technical expertise through internally and externally available learning opportunities as well as self-study

  • Liaise with software vendors to deliver global solutions

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field or equivalent relevant experience

  • 3 years experience in analysis, architecture, design and development of distributed applications and components in AWS and 5-6 years of experience in IT

  • Experience with architecture, technology innovations, standards, management and consulting experience in medium to large enterprise organizations

  • Expertise in object-oriented technologies and complete product life cycle

  • Thorough knowledge of complete System Development Life Cycle SDLC

  • Capable of analyzing the business requirements, software requirement specifications, functional design documents to formulate test plans, test strategies, and test scenarios

  • Ability to apply agile methodology and sprint development to manage project implementations and backlogs

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as customer relationship building skills

  • Adapt to and work effectively with a variety of engagements and in challenging situations

  • Desire to participate in and help build and strengthen a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with website support and CMS systems

  • Ability to collaborate using the Google Suite of tools

  • 2 years experience of Javascript or Google Apps script experience

  • Google Cloud Platform

  • Apache 2.4

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range $102 400,00 - $151 200,00 USD

Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.

Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefits plans then in effect, all salaried employees are also eligible for a competitive benefits package which includes:

  • Insurance: Employees (and their eligible dependents) are eligible to participate in Company-sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, Basic Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Disability insurance plans.

  • Retirement Plans: Employees are eligible to enroll in Colgate's 401(k) plan, which provides for company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements

  • Vacation/PTO: Employees receive a minimum of 15 days of vacation/PTO leave annually

  • Paid Holidays: Employees receive a minimum of 13 paid/floating holidays annually

  • Paid Sick Leave: Based on location and consistent with applicable state and local law, employees receive a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave on January 1st of each year

  • Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees may take up to eight weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of unpaid leave (varies for employees with fewer than 12 months of service and is subject to hours worked requirements)
