In today’s multifaceted technology environment, it is an exciting time to be a part of the information technology team at Colgate! Our highly technical and innovative team is dedicated to driving growth for Colgate Palmolive in this ever-changing landscape.

We are seeking an Architect, Data Excellence to spearhead our data management initiatives, tools, and technologies. As a subject matter expert, you will be the cornerstone of design, development, and implementation, providing thought-leadership that propels us to the forefront of the data space.

What you will do

  • Strategic Design & Development: Craft and refine our data management and governance strategy, ensuring the delivery of solutions that are both innovative and practical. Your designs will be the blueprint for our data excellence

  • Inspiring Leadership: Lead a dynamic team of data engineers and architects with a blend of servant leadership and thought expertise, preparing our workforce to manage data at scale

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with business and IT teams across the globe, transforming sophisticated business requirements into stellar solution designs

  • Tech Strategy & Implementation: Drive our technology strategy, from evaluating innovative market solutions to negotiating favorable terms with vendors, ensuring we have the tools to thrive

  • Lifecycle Management: Manage the full systems development lifecycle, from coding to maintenance, ensuring our tools and technologies are robust and reliable

  • DevOps Champion: Implement DevOps principles and processes to drive continuous improvement and deliver high-quality technological solutions

  • Operational Excellence: Maintain the reliability of our production systems, using IT standard support and governance processes to meet the highest standards

  • Governance & Compliance: Uphold the integrity of our IT projects by adhering to the best practices in information technology project management and governance

What you will need (Required)

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related field

  • 12 years of data management experience with at least 3 experiences responsible for implementing enterprise data catalog and data quality solutions

  • Experience with delivering a technical metadata repository and integrations with multiple tech stacks

  • Experience with the following technologies and processes

  • Collibra, Informatica, Atlan, Alation, Atacama or similar tools

  • Building architecture in hybrid cloud (on-prem, GCP, Snowflake, etc.)

  • Platform Engineering, Software Development and Infrastructure with programming experience in Java and Python and Integration Development with APIs

  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders

What you will need (Preferred)

  • Master’s degree in information management or library systems

  • Knowledge about SAP Cloud Platform, SAP API, Python, Google Cloud Platform

  • Familiarity with Database, Server and Operating Systems

  • Awareness of new dimensional technologies like Machine Learning, RPA, Data Science

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range $115,000.00 - $180,000.00 USD

Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.

Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefits plans then in effect, all salaried employees are also eligible for a competitive benefits package which includes:

  • Insurance: Employees (and their eligible dependents) are eligible to participate in Company-sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, Basic Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Disability insurance plans.

  • Retirement Plans: Employees are eligible to enroll in Colgate's 401(k) plan, which provides for company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements

  • Vacation/PTO: Employees receive a minimum of 15 days of vacation/PTO leave annually

  • Paid Holidays: Employees receive a minimum of 13 paid/floating holidays annually

  • Paid Sick Leave: Based on location and consistent with applicable state and local law, employees receive a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave on January 1st of each year

  • Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees may take up to eight weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of unpaid leave (varies for employees with fewer than 12 months of service and is subject to hours worked requirements)
