Summary

Participate in plant systems integration projects providing technical expertise Using their automation expertise to program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMI & SCADA & Instrumentation as well as train plant personnel on automation systems including IOT Solutions, ML and Robotics.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Implement plant automation & Integration projects.

  • Provide technical leadership in the area of manufacturing automation.

  • Good Knowledge in

  1. Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s)

  2. SCADA & HMI

  3. RDBMS(SQL Server)

  4. PLC & Drives

  5. Motion control (Servo Drives configuration and solving).

  6. Instrumentation and measurements.

  7. Configuration of Manufacturing machines to AVEVA System Platform & Historian.

  • Good Knowledge in Industrial Protocols like Ethernet I/P, Modbus TCP/IP, Modbus RTU, Profinet, Profibus and Control net.

  • Good Programming skills in Rockwell, Siemens Control system packages.

  • Provide technical leadership in the area of IOT, Industry 4.0, ML & AI.

  • Provide the technical leadership to implementation teams as needed.

  • Provide the technical expertise to the site to update the configurations of the systems.

  • Provide training and advanced troubleshooting to the site.

  • Establish and maintain close relationships with : Plant Systems team, IT teams and Operational Excellence teams

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor degree in Engineering (Instrumentation/Mechatronics/Electronics), M.tech /ME is an added advantage.

  • Minimum of 2 years experience with engineering, supply chain operations and/or IT Supply Chain required

  • Experience in Industrial Automation Projects implementation using Rockwell / Siemens PLC’s or equivalent.

  • Knowledge of Industrial Network Communication protocols (Ethernet, DeviceNet, ControlNet, Profibus)

  • Experience with Wonderware Industrial Automation software (SCADA (InTouch), Historian, Archestra) or an equivalent software required

  • Ability to configure and test plant systems

  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing operations core processes and plant floor equipment and instrumentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in operations management.

  • Experience in systems configuration and maintenance.

  • Basic knowledge of SAP.
