Job Purpose

Colgate-Palmolive invites applications for the position of an IT Manager Hub to be based in Woking (UK). The NE Hub includes the countries United Kingdom, Ireland, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark. Periodic visits to each office in the different countries will be included in the role responsibility.

The position is within the global Workplace & Collaboration Services (WCS) team which is part of the Global Infrastructure Technology (GIT) team and is responsible for the provision of IT infrastructure and IT services to the respective Colgate and Hills sites in the countries mentioned above. This position will manage several business partners who are located in Colgate sites mentioned in the countries above.

What you will do

  • Lead 3 IT business partners located in UK, Ireland and Denmark, further collaborate with a cross functional IT team in the Netherlands

  • Local provision of globally standardized and pre-configured infrastructure including Windows laptops, MacBooks, network and to a limited part also servers. This role includes also the estimation of the future demand, ordering of equipment, arranging and settlements of leasing contracts, replacing end of life devices

  • Support IT Onboarding and Offboarding of employees and equipping them with IT infrastructure including laptops and mobile devices

  • Promote Colgate’s Google Workspace solutions, including supporting Google Meet hardware in meeting rooms

  • Lead Mobile devices including Iphones , data plans and lease agreements

  • Provision 2nd IT level support to including senior management IT support

  • Responsible for vendor management, licensing(OSP, ISP etc), liaising with procurement team, legal, finances etc.

  • Initiate and manage IT procurements by raising purchase orders and collaborate with vendors and indirect procurement

  • Adhere and pro-actively ensure the Colgate’s standards and compliance principles are applied to the all the sites in the region; this involves periodic infrastructure checks

  • Ensure IT audits are completed without any repeated findings or concerns

  • Partner with GIT cross functional teams for example, but not limited to, IT Helpdesk, Distributed Systems team (ADS), network team, security team and collaboration team

  • Act as critical issue point when required for the coordination with GIT, functional groups and outside vendors/contractors of the troubleshooting and resolution of sophisticated issues

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with business users, senior leaders and functions such as (but not limited to) Finance, Legal, HR and Procurement

  • Manage IT budgets for the Hub region and performance against plan

  • In collaboration with Legal manage IT contracts (draft, signature, renewal and termination)

  • Participate in cross-divisional meetings and projects as a participant or leader when required

  • Handle escalations to global teams for all IT related issues

  • Ensure business continuity for our IT infrastructure in the respective sites (laptops & connectivity). Advance to Senior Management and engage central IT teams when required.

  • Coordinate refresh of IT equipment such as Server, switches, wireless and other IT related equipment

  • Asset Management lifecycle

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering

  • 6+ years of experience in IT preferably with people management experience

  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

  • Demonstrated people leadership skills, team building, able to collaborate in a multi-functional environment

  • In depth understanding of PCs, MacBooks, mobile devices and networks

  • Excellent in Problem Solving, Decision Making, Critical Thinking, Attention to Detail

  • Team worker who demonstrates proactivity, decisiveness, adaptability and is able to work under pressure

  • Strong personal and professional ethical values, impeccable integrity, and the energy level required to meet the demands of the position.

  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies in a fast paced environment, adapt and work effectively with a variety of situations, individuals and cultures.

  • Experience in the following technologies would be considered a plus:

  • Windows and Mac environment: Win 11, Mac OS, Active Directory

  • Google Workplace including Google Sheets, Google Docs and Google Slides

  • Network: Cisco LAN, Wi-Fi and VOIP

  • End user devices (PC’s, Macs, Smartphones, Tablets, Printers)
